  • Lay down on your mat for corpse pose as long as you’d like and allow yourself to let go.Welcome to Episode 128: "3 Misconceptions for Cueing a Yoga Class" with Host Sandy Raper.
  • Close your eyes and bring your hands into prayer.
  • Exhale to lower back down and come to a seat.
  • Inhale, very gently peel the heart open as you keep your core engaged.
  • Keep your spine long as you relax your head, neck, and shoulders.
  • Come back to a neutral spine, straighten the legs, and lift the hips toward the sky for downdog.
  • Option now to take circles with the hips.
  • Take a few rounds like this keeping your core engaged the entire time.
  • Exhale as you round your spine and press your hands into the earth.
  • Inhale as you drop your belly, lift your tailbone, and open your heart.
  • Send the hips back toward the heels and untuck your toes for child’s pose.
  • Inhale to rise back up and come to your hands and knees.
  • Bend your knees as much as you need to, moving your upper body side to side.
  • Straighten your legs in front of you for a gentle forward fold.
  • Bring the soles of your feet together and your knees out wide for butterfly pose.
  • Gently twist one way, then the other as you keep your core engaged.
  • Relax your hands on your thighs, and take gentle movement in your neck and shoulders.
  • Inhale and exhale, feeling the rise and fall of your heart and belly as you breathe.
  • If it’s helpful, place one hand on your heart, and one hand on your belly.
  • Notice how you feel in this exact moment without any judgement toward yourself.
  • Close your eyes if it feels comfortable to you.
  • Sit or lie down so that you’re comfortable.
  • Lay down a yoga mat, blanket, or towel, or use the floor.
